Hand colored engraving. This original print published in 1840 is one of the series done by the British artist W.H. Bartlett during his American journey of 1838-9. The text that accompanies it is by his collaborator Nathaniel Willis. The work is set in a bird's-eye maple frame. Frame: 12 1/2" x 10 1/2"; sight: 8 1/2" x 6 3/4". Good condition.
