Portrayed here is Dulcinea, a character in Miguel de Cervantes' novel Don Quixote. Dali loved this story, and did drawings and paintings of the main character as well. Dulcinea was essentially an imaginary creation of Quixote's, and Dali has depicted her with soft, dreamy forms and colors. Lithograph on paper. Signed l.l. "Dali" and inscribed l.r. "E.A." (epreuve d'artiste). Frame: 23" x 33 1/2"; sight: 14" x 22 1/2". Good condition.
