Traditionally these were used to hold herbal medicines, roots, or spices. The front is defined by a grid of sixteen square upper drawers stacked neatly above two wide base drawer. Each drawer face has a deeply recessed, carved sunflower or lotus flower motif with a simple round wooden knob pull at the center. 24 1/2" x 19 3/4" x 41 1/2". Good condition with minor wear to the brass rail.
