Born in 1956, Andrew Ingamells trained at St. Albans School of Art and the London College of Printing. It was during this time that he started making drawings of individual buildings and architectural landscapes of London. In 1987 he was invited to Clarendon Graphics, the print studio set up by Anthony Benjamin, to make aquatint etchings from some of his architectural drawings. So began his love affair with a traditional printing method that has barely changed in centuries, continuing a tradition of neo classical draughtsmanship made popular by Piranesi. Signed, limited edition print, 168/300. Frame: 26 1/2" x 37 1/4"; sight: 19" x 29 1/2". Good condition. Minor losses along bottom of frame.
