Buck’s work makes you wonder exactly what is the line between a table, a chair and a work of art; and he succeeds, the question becomes unanswerable. Andy Buck is a furniture maker, sculptor, and educator. Currently a full professor and program chair for the Furniture Design Program at the Rochester Institute of Technology, he has also taught at the Oregon College of Art & Craft, and given workshops at Anderson Ranch, Haystack, Penland, and Peters Valley. His work has been included in exhibitions at the Museum of Art & Design, Museum of Applied Art, Frankfurt, and the Boston Museum of Fine Art. This colorful work of furniture and sculpture features a base of tapered iron legs and a hand painted clover shaped wooden surface. Signed A. Buck, 1996. 14.5" x 18.5". Good condition.
