Born in Valencia 1935 Pellicer-Pla studied with Jose Segrelles’ and the Marist Brothers’ school, where he began to show his capacities for artistic expression. At the age of 14 he began to regularly paint the landscapes of La Murta de Alzira, La Casella and the Corbera mountain and finished his studies with the illusion of pursuing studies in Fine Arts, but the harsh reality that the war halted his dream until he enrolled in the Academy of Fine Arts of San Carlos in Valencia, in 1974. In 2014, the Algemesí City Council held a retrospective exhibition under the title “Pellicer Plá.Paisatge, traç i geometría” where his complete work is studied. He is widely recognized as one of the great spanish painters. Gilt frame is striped. Gallery tag on reverse. Excellent condition.
