Elegance, warmth and surprise best describe this light filled Brick Georgian home, it’s in a class of its own, welcome to The Secret Garden in Newton!

A grand highlight of this home is the Steinway Model M grand piano. The Steinway Model M is one of the best pianos of its general size. One of the reasons for its popularity is because it not only offers professional level quality but it’s also small enough so that it’s appropriate for a home or small stage in terms of both size and acoustics. Serial 308245, circa 1941.

A collection of vintage posters including aperitif drinking parrots, beer drinking frogs, Henry IV on his famous white horse holding an overflowing stein of beer, World War I propaganda and a Progressive Party poster of Harry Truman playing the piano. Posters were sourced from the Bernice Jackson, Fine Art, a renowned Boston poster dealer.

Our favorite is the Toni Kola, a bold, well designed, and endearing large format Lithograph in color, by Robys aka Robert Robert Wolff (French circa 1916-1995) featuring two colorful and playful parrots in the forefront. The poster reads, “Toni Kola is an aperitive wine made with Kola that is fresh to drink”.

A stunning backyard haven featuring Brown Jordan furniture including multiple dining sets, chaise lounge chairs, club chairs and a wicker set. Brown Jordan has been the industry leader in luxury outdoor furniture, their philosophy is simple, design beautiful, well-crafted contemporary furniture that is timeless and made to last.

Antiques hand picked by Nannette Lewis, an inductee of the New England Design Hall of Fame. Nannette choose heritage rich mainstays for this project featuring refined materials, sophisticated color and classical elements.

Her pairing of a Louis XVI style brass mounted mahogany two part dining table with a set of twelve leather side chairs gets playful with a seat back upholstered in green gingham while she adds authentic touches including sets of antique French copper pots.

Additional antiques include palace size mirrors, seating, lighting and crystal.

Pockets of on trend contemporary furnishings and surprising finds:

Asymmetrical High Back Leather Fusion Settee from Carter Furniture

Replica of a Medieval Suit of Armor

Louis Vuitton and Gucci

Charles Rennie Mackintosh Hill House Chair

If you look at it the right way the whole world is a garden!
