Maggie and Jim Hobbs founded Hunt Estate Sales in 2012 with a clear mission: to elevate the estate sale experience with a focus on authentic service and innovation.

After eight years hosting traditional open-to-the-public events, we pivoted to virtual sales. Today we operate New England’s only fully integrated online estate sale platform.

Optimizing our services and taking them online has allowed us to market our clients’ property to a much broader audience, resulting in higher price points and a higher sell-through rate. This eliminates the pain points and risks of traditional sales. No property damage. No theft. No injuries.

We continue to adapt to changing trends, serve our clients in innovative ways, and deliver a one-of-a-kind, 24/7 modern-day treasure hunt.

Maggie graduated from Northeastern University and began her career helping her clients age in place, safely in their homes.

Jim graduated from Berklee School of Music and is recognized worldwide as a Jazz Saxophonist and composer. For 20 years Jim was the regional manager of a national retail and rental music store, where he specialized in antique and rare pieces.

Most days the sweat equity is literal and most nights we're side by side, bathed in the glow of two laptops. It's extremely rewarding working together to assist our clients through significant transitions all while touting the importance of the second-hand industry.
